About Us

Paul has always had a passion for audio. He was raised in Guatemala, the son of a classically trained musician, where his love for music was cultivated. He grew up playing multiple instruments before settling on the bass guitar, which he still plays often as a part of various musical projects.

His passion for recording and producing music started upon his arrival to the United States in 2001, finding himself inspired by pop-culture and the creative process.

He honed his audio engineering skills at the SAE Institute in Barcelona, Spain. He then began his professional career as an audio engineer at SoundPost Productions in Charlotte, NC, where he expanded his knowledge of all forms of audio production and specialized in dialogue editing.

Still a resident of Charlotte, NC, he now runs Castanet Productions, where he continues to help his clients bring their vision to reality.
